Description
I put this stone on an elevated sheet of glass with a neutral gray background underneath. The lighting was from a single on-camera flash bounced from my white ceiling. Since I was using on-camera flash several angles of the flash were tried bouncing the light up into the ceiling so I would not burn out any of the facets on this highly reflective gem. Citrine that is smokey in appearance is usually names smokey quartz. This faceted stone has 50-facets or angles of the cut. The shape of this cut is known as an "Emerald Cut." Not related to the Emerald stone. Camera: Nikon D7200 Lens: Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 macro Exposure: ISO 400 1.250sec at f/11
